John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

first and foremost, establish acquaintances, if not friendships, with real honest people.  you can spot them because they're blind to the color of your skin.  this is necessary, because once you start to build a house, you can be had by overcharging contractors.  thus would you need an honest man's advice, and reference.

second, if you must hire a household help, hire from another province.  hiring locals invite their extended families to your domicile and might prove dangerous to your health.

(p.s. this goes without saying that mine are just suggestions and are by no means airtight verities.)

third, if you must build a house, don't do so in isolated locations.  you chose to live in bohol, then by all means, immerse and be one of us.  you will find out that we can be good neighbors, so be a good one yourself.

lastly, as in anywhere else, do not flaunt your wealth or lack of it.  most of us are ordinary, everyday average folks.  just carry with you like a badge your sense of humor and, by jove, you're one of us!

Don't flaunt your wealth, but by all means bring it to Bohol and spend most of it there... ;D
