Nutritionists found that 45 grams of saluyot approx. 48 grams contains 20 calories, .3 g fat, 3.4 g carbohydrates, 1.3 g protein, 87.3 mg calcium, 22.5 g phosphorous, 220 g vit A (retinol), traces of tiamin, riboflavin, niacin and vit. C. Saluyot is an excellent anti-oxidant.
I found out that saluyot originated from Egypt and it is cultivated in Syria and Damascus.
