A puppy dropped by a hawk into a backyard is now adopted by the family that found him.
What a gift from above!
A California boy got a new puppy — after it fell out of the sky and into his backyard.
The two-month-old puppy, KSBW-TV reported, had been picked up by a hawk and then sent flying for unknown reasons in Salinas, Calif.
It’s been named “T.J. Heavenly,†after the elementary schooler who found him and most likely saved his life.
Seven-year-old Taylor told the TV station he was walking through his backyard when he saw the puppy, which was in bad condition after its fall.
The family believes that T.J. Heavenly somehow freed itself from the hawk and slid out of its talons.
“If you look at him right now, he’s so wiggly,†the dog’s new owner Elaine Bouchard told the TV station. “And his nose; he’s such a little bulldozer, I can see him wiggling right out of the talons.â€
The dog was taken to a veterinarian to get all of its wounds patched up and is now a happy part of the family.
“My thought is, when a puppy drops from the sky you keep it,†Bouchard said.
