Human as we are, during death, we often hear of people who were made to say eulogy....."The sudden death, the untimely departure of our friends.... Ang hinanaling kamatayon ni Papa, etc is an opposite of what the bible says. Take a look of the following:
Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, verses 1 to 3: Everything that happens in this world, happens at the time God chooses. He set the time for birth ( May 27, 1958 in reference to Sec. Jesse M. Robredo) ) He also sets the time for death (August 18, 2012.)
Our Heavenly Father had known in advance, when you will be born, when one will die and in what manner, time, place one would die. He knows because he had crafted in his mysterious ways what you will be
Psalm 139, verse 16, “ You saw me before I was born, The allotted days to me had all been recorded in your book, before any of them ever began.†We can not question God's wisdom, we have only to abide by his will, as it has been written in the Book of Life.
But why fear death, when in Genesis, we were already forewarned that " Man, thou art dust and to dust you shall return. OUr own Jose Rizal in his immortal Mi Ultimo Adios, paragraph 14, last sentence says, "Morir es descansar..............."In death there is rest."
Jesus also said in the opening verses of Chapter 14, according to the Gospel of St John says...........do not be worried and upset. Believe in God and believe also in me. There are many rooms in my Father's house. I am going to prepare a place for you. I would not tell you this if it were not so. After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to my self so that you will be where I am."
Further Jesus said to Martha and Maria. " Your brother Lazarus is not dead, He is only sleeping." These are the assuring words of God, because He knew there sis still life after death.
Death is only a cessation of all body organs, says the doctor. To theologians, Death is not the end, but the beginning of eternal life. It is only the demarcation line that separates life that has end and to everlasting life.
To the family of the late Sec. Jesse Robredo and all those who may experience the inevitable cycle of human existence, I trust that the Words of God will make you strong, to face the reality of Life.
