happy teachers day to all of you, shapers of destiny, you real heroes!

i once taught college (because i'm not qualified to teach small kids) part time for four years.  despite the meager pay, it was the most fulfilling job i ever held, more fulfilling than sitting on a desk the whole day poring over manuscripts.  if only i could do it again.
