SK Bohol, now on air WORLDWIDE
The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Provincial Federation of Bohol under the leadership of its president, Hon. Jane Censoria Cajes has almost completed the implementation of its flagship project in youth advocacy with the airing of SK on Air over radio station dyTR (1116 kHz) on August 17.
The SK Bohol Media Triangle Program (SK MTP) is composed of three components on the media- the internet, newspaper and radio. It started during the term of SK past president Frances Bobbith Cajes-Auza, Jane’s older sister.
www.skbohol.com, the first SK website in the Philippines offers a new and refreshing look. This website is updated and monitored everyday by the SK staff. It can be noted that internet was conquered by the SKPF when it launched
www.skbohol.org in 2005.
The second component is the quarterly publication, the SK Today. According to John Torralba, the SK chief of staff, the office will release the SK Today in September 2008 before the SK National Congress on October 28-29, 2008 in Cebu City. The maiden issue of SK Today was in Dec. 2005.
The SK on Air, the official radio program made its fist airing on April 2, 2006. The brand new SK on Air features various youth issues, concerns and other youth interest and is anchored by SK Volunteers Club (SKVC) members.
SK on Air is aired ever Saturday, 4-5 p.m. over radio station dyTR and can be heard online worldwide at
www.dytrbohol.com.
