Slackware, duol-duol ra ta kay dia man ko sa Khobar karon. I was in Riyadh from 1985 to 1990 ( hala naobvious noon ko nga edaran na gyod, hehehe ) and stayed in the Eastern part thereafter until now...

Glad to learn that your family could relate to us here OFWs in Saudi bisan naa na mo sa US coz gikan man siya diay diri. If your Dad was attending some activities in the Embassy or watching basketball tournaments and community organizations... most probably kita na siya nako...

i started working in riyadh at the age of 22 until now im already 27...how i wish maa-an pa kog bagets! paspas kaayo ko natiguwang dire sa riyadh! huhuhuhuhuhu

Taas taas mand a wiyang position, ang iya daw sakop mga Filipino. Yes, it's fulfilling and elating when people acknowledge the kind of difference from your contemporaries... what i mean duna silay nakita nga kalahian... the secret.... I gave up smoking 18 years ago, eat fish and vegetables (less red meat), less soda or carbonated drinks (means more mineral water), be happy (regardless of some problems, dili gyod kalikayan but dont take seriously).. go to parties and gatherings...have positive outlook, goes with style...

Daghan na baya nga gikan sa Saudi namalhin sa US and Canada...On my case, giuna nako akong Mama and sis to be in the USA kay kalooy sa Ginoo maayo man akong trabaho as I was working then with the Saudi American Bank (for more than a decade).. but some of my friends preferred to settle down in there as I recommended them to build something for their kids and not for themselves.

Its suffice to say that God has been gracious to you for your kindness to your contemporaries, sir, as well as your own family. Its quite amazing sometimes when I observe how Filipino men who once were Engineers in their past profession take up other roles once they matriculate in Canada or the 'states. Filipino adaptability. Sir, are you planning to come to the 'states in the future? I know you mentioned it earlier how you your momma and siblings are over here.

Yes, have plans only for visit not for permanency though the petition is on the pipeline... As I spent half of my life in Saudi, I would rather enjoy some years in the Philippines as am embarking on an entrepreneurial activity... of my passion. As am in the Mideast, had spent my travels more in Europe, Middle East and Asian countries... considering of the petition arrangement..

Bran, it is fulfilling when you made people happy...I made a lot of sacrifices but no regrets... the happiness I've embraced could not be bought by any amount of money...

I was ahead of him, he is based in Riyadh where I started and moved to the Eastern Part. He is with PhoneBanking and I was with the Transaction Banking and at times with Corporate Banking.

He used to support me in the community activities where I was involved like in basketball for sponsorship... I believe he is also into marketing with TFC or GMA channel as part of his networking hobby? Pls. extend my regards if he is still ontown (Riyadh).

What a coincidence, his uncle ( Benju Uybengkee who exports Shell handicrafts ) was my friend while we were in USC..and we're together too in the USC Theater Guild...
