Hello and Good Morning Manay,
I hope that your Christmas Holiday was filled with peace and blessings, Manay! It's good to have you back here, and thank you for sharing with us the present circumstance of your mother in law. In this time of her life, depression is very common for elderly people, and the manifestation is the refusal of treatment and eating necessary foods. I feel your pain, Manay, and I will include your mother in law in my prayers today in Holy Mass. Manay, in this time of her life, she needs spiritual food. I would suggest you pray for her during your visits to Church and include her name in your supplications to the Heart of Divine Mercy, who is ever merciful.
When you visit her next time, say this prayer while you are sitting next to her:
Psalm 23 1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever. Be strong Manay, ask the Lord Thy God to forgive your mother in law for all of her sins, and pray that she may have the grace of a peaceful death in peace with Our Lord Jesus Christ. I will mention you and your mother in law and the rest of y our family in my prayers tonight in Evening Mass. May God Bless You!
Always,
BRAN
