it's because we are so different that we have so much to share.
i learned this saying in school. it was so populated with students from different walks of life.
thus, debates, argument, conflicts and misunderstanding were very common. our teachers did a phenomenal job, though, to keep the classrooms alive and conducive for learning in a friendly atmosphere. they never let those differences take the best out of us. instead they guided us to use them for constructive purposes. it was the time to grow then how to learn to LISTEN to people and be SENSITIVE with other's feelings without losing the fixture of individuality in one hand and without forgetting the invaluable sense of community in the other. so the wisdom of sharing each individuality is what pushed us forward; and the mindful respect of the people around me, to whom i belonged, is what bonded us together in one ground, at the same level and same breath.
needless to say there were always people who wouldn't be happy no matter what we did in a generous way. we never said goodbyes to them. we always reminded ourselves each of us have our own lives and there are just so much we can do to relate to them. thanks TB people. i'll talk to you next time around. hopefully to argue with a listening heart.
