I will visit Cracow, Poland for 4 days starting 11 November 2009, by bus. This is a pilgrimage to the Divine Mercy with a German group and us 10 Pinoys. I hope I could get lots of pictures to share them with you.

The trip will start tonight, pag ka buntag Cracow na. I presume there will be a mass 10-11 in the morning, so please align your thoughts with me since I printed all the prayer requests and I will give it there on the altar. Sa Sabado sa gabii ang among larga, buntag ni-a nako pohon sa Germany. I will try my best to give the Minute meditations and Saints of the day. Please pray to the saints everyday kay maninaw sila kaayo nato.
IÂ´m so excited because I have read that Cracow is one of the most beautiful city in Europe and it was not much damaged by the war. This place is very rich in Jewish heritage. God bless us all.

We took 14 hours by bus, sakit akong lobot ug nilingkod walay tolog kay kawas kada 3 ka oras. Duha mi ka bus, 8 ka Pinoy, 2 ka Italyano ug 80 ka German of Polish descendants

Among pamahaw alas onse na sa odto.

Busfahrt Day good for 4 days, more pics to come, I still have to sort out my thoughts since it was a very intensive spiritual renewal for me. I also met 4 Pinay nuns ( Franciscans) stationed in CzÄ™stochowa, Poland.
I lighted candles to the TB members who requested for some prayers, I did it in CzÄ™stochowa where the Black Madonna shrine lies. There is one who always comes into my mind, BNC! I place some prayer requests for all the members of TubagBohol Forum members.

BARDO

Bardo [ËˆbardÉ”] (German: Wartha) is a town in ZÄ…bkowice ÅšlÄ…skie County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Bardo.

The town lies on the Nysa KÅ‚odzka river, approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south-west of ZÄ…bkowice ÅšlÄ…skie, and 72 kilometres (45 mi) south of the regional capital WrocÅ‚aw. As at 2006, the Bardo has a population of 2,860.

History
Bardo was founded in the 10th century as a defensive gord. The surrounding area was populated by Slavic peoples tribes and Bardo's castellans were Polish knights. Its chapel was built in the 10th century, and it was first mentioned in 1189 as being owned by the Knights Hospitaller. By 1290 the gord had lost its strategic importance and ceased to exist as a castellany. By 1299 the whole area had been bought by the Cistercian order and was owned by them until 1810. Along with most of Silesia, it passed from Germany to Poland at the end of World War II.

Bardo gained the status of a town in the early 14th century, but this was lost as the result of the destruction caused by World War II. It became the seat of a gmina in 1954, and was granted town status again in 1969.

Historic buildings still existing in Bardo include a Baroque church and a 15th-century stone bridge.

A burial mass was held before we were allowed to come in, I was the first and I immediately took a shot to show how the people in this town preserved this old tradition, the dead man is holding a rosary, stampita and new pair of shoes.( May he rest in peace).

Lucan origin
The icon of Our Lady of CzÄ™stochowa has been intimately associated with Poland for the past six hundred years. Its history prior to its arrival in Poland is shrouded in numerous legends which trace the icon's origin to St. Luke who painted it on a cypress table top from the house of the Holy Family.

stayed in the years 1933-1936. In this house Lord Jesus dictated to her the Chaplet
