---> wala ko kasabot ani nga statement nga indirect ang LGU Jagna to control the port run by the PPA and they can bring the complaints of the people against bad services of the shipping lines.

The Jagna port looks better than before. THE MAYOR HAS ANOTHER BUSINESS TO FINISH THE UNFINISHED JAGNA PUBLIC MARKET.

WHICH IS THE BIGGER EARNER? THE PORT OR THE MARKET. Studyhan pa na nila sa LGU.

Wala nay daghan og satsat... action dapat. His term has to end in 2010. What legacy he wants to leave?

I know lots of Mayors. I know Eksam. I wish him the best after "sharing power" his post as Mayors League President with Mayor Salinas.

I felt sad to the bad experience of Ms parlball papa in Jagna ticketing office, as i mentioned earlier in the 1rst thread those account were not new to me since i reside
next town to Jagna ( dugay na kaajo ni ) i frequently goes there whenever i'm on my vacation, but what caught to my surprise was the old system does not change, thanks to BS a quick move was taken in behalf of Ms Pearlball, but it does not ends here it depends on the constant follow up of the above more so this will benefit to all, thanks bai BS and keep us posted.

In addition to the facts about Jagna Port, let it be known here that it was not the Local Government Unit of Jagna which funded the completion or development and rehabilitation of the port. It was the national government through the Philippne Ports Authority, using corporate funds while making sure that the port becomes a key RORO port jump off to Mindanao.

It is also the PPA which operates the port and the town only gets, if it does part of the revenues generated therein. The local govenrment, it being only there because the port happens to be in its jurisdiction could only facilitate the complaints if any are lodged properly, otherwise the LGU would appear as stupid.

The Jagna market truly remains to be a little more that a skeleton of a building.

But, in fairness, there has been a lot that the local officials have done, it just could not be done just as quickly, knowing that the town has limited resources and a full list of priorities, including more serious poverty alleveiation, food production and health issues.

Going ack to the main thread, it would be a better move if the LGU could get hold of the details, not that it has not seen the rpblem but, as Mayor Eksam has said, there are priorities the local officials have to do first.

Messing with things ordinary residents or Filipino Citizens could ably do may not be on top of its priorities for now.
