I think in some places in Philippines the the vasectomy is libre there fore making this shot costly he he he.

The better, safer, most fair (towards women, though irreversible) contraceptive method for us guys is the NSV or None-Surgical-Vasectomy if we really intend to avoid unwanted impregnations and maximize our enjoyment of the sexual act (most preferably with our spouses). It just takes a couple of minutes, with little or no pain and hassle and we can even go about with our daily routines like as if nothing happened. But there are few enrollees to this method because of the macho image that so many men oh so stubbornly try to adhere to. Come to think of it, it's only in their mind that vasectomy will lessen their libido and make them big fat slobs just like what happens to castrated cats, dogs or other animals. But vasectomy is far different from castration. Because in castration, the "balls" or "bayag" ( I am using this term in place of the actual technical term so as to be easily understood) are surgically removed but with vasectomy only the connection or the "pathway" of the sperm cells are cut. So it simply means we can still ejaculate or "cum". Mosulirap gihapon atong mga mata, mag utnga atoang pag ginhawa og manginto atong tiil inig boto sa atoang "tarogo". And we don't have to let our partner go through the pain, the hassle of liagation or the irritability and even erratic behaviour caused by pills or the injectibles or adding to the polluting of our environment with our used condoms. I´m very happy to read your postings that there are really concerned Forum members about contraceptives. Taking the initiative to take the burden from the women´s side is a positive step. The first time my daughter used a contraceptive pill was a disaster. She suffered lung embolie which almost put her in real trouble. The list of side effects is too long to mention here.
So far, vasectomy is the safest and easy. My male acquaintances never mentioned any effects on their sexual feats.  I´m proud of you guys.

Anyone having a vasectomy can expect a sore and tender scrotum for a few days. You may also have some bruising and swelling.
Complications

This is when problems occur during or after the operation. Most men aren't affected. The possible complications of any operation include an unexpected reaction to the anaesthetic or developing an infection.

Specific complications of vasectomy are rare but include those below.

    * Bleeding inside your scrotum can make it swollen and painful. This is called a haematoma and may require further surgery.
    * Sperm may leak out of the cut tubes and collect in surrounding tissues. If this happens, hard lumps, called sperm granulomas, can form. Sperm granulomas aren't harmful, but occasionally they can be painful and need to be removed.
    * It's possible you may develop long-term testicular pain. This may be due to pinched nerves or scarring, and may require further surgery.
    * You may have a full feeling in your testicles. This is caused by the epididymis (sperm sacks near the surface of each testicle) filling with stored sperm.
    * Very rarely, even when performed correctly, there is a very small risk that your tubes can rejoin naturally and you will become fertile again.
