Christmas shopping?  Nah, I will just bake goodies coz can't afford to buy gifts.

Thanksgiving sa bitaw sa ta.  For sure, naa na pod si Mr. Turkey!  He is always the center of attraction in almost every Thanksgiving dinner table!  Luckily, I am not taking the lead for our Thanksgiving dinner.  Uncle Ray, Smiffytheninja's Dad does all the cooking from turkey to side dishes to baking the yams.  He does it the American Indian traditional way of cooking!  We try to assist him like for the gravy but usually he does everything.  Well, I do the Thanksgiving cake.

haha kuyawa pood, 'te Ging! So daghaan mo anha sa inyong Thanksgiving Dinner? Lami bitaw nang Turkey, no? Ako, everytime mo ka-un ko ana, ma katogon ko kai ang amino acid Tryptophan, which is found in Turkey, is conducive for PNS activity. Lami jud to have Thanksgiving and have a fire burning in the fireplace--kai its so festive. And my little cousins and little brothers running around as my aunties and uncles converse with my parents in bisaya in the background...ah...life is so good. :)

Indeed, Dong, life is so good!  No matter what, life is good especially with family and friends.  That I think is the essence of Thanksgiving! We always wish lang na all our whole family can eat also what we have on our table on Thanksgiving day!

We will go to my Aunt's house (smiffytheninja's house) and we also invite family friends.  My sister from LA is coming too and sometimes she brings friends to join us.  My two cousins from the Bay area are also coming so we almost have no leftover for sandwich the next day! hehehe

Lami unta duol ra ka dre, I will invite you and your family to join us!  The more, the merrier, di ba?

Very true, jud ka, Ate Ging. Family is always the most important. I cannot disagree with you!! Kaibao ka two years ago I was unable to go back home for Thanksgiving Dinner because of my classes and work and na hilak ko kai gi mingaw man jud ko sa ahong mama, papa, my darling baby bros and sister. Tho i was not there, ning tawag lang ko sa telefono for 1-2 hours with my mom, naka hear lang ko sa ang voice sa ahong uncles, aunties and my cousins, my dad and my brothers. Automatically, naka happy lang ko--kai i felt that i was with them too--my spirit was with my family--despite i was 500 miles away. Pero, you are right jud, 'te. Thanksgiving is all about having a one-ness with family, and enjoying each other's company and giving grace to GOD for his blessings on all of us--despite our current situation.

Salamat kaayo for the invite!! Bitaw, maybe someday when ma human nako, maka attend pood ko ba! hahaha! Regards lang to your blessed family!

Always,

You make me feel mingaw too, Dong Enzo.  You are so buotan and bright na bata. I am also proud of you that you are trying to speak our dialect.  Yes, we have so much to thank for in life!  We tend to thank the Lord only for the granted favors we asked from Him but what about those favors that we asked and was not granted because He deemed them not good for us?  We also have to thank HIm, di ba?  Also, for things that did not happen like, umm, we didn't have a plane land in our roof! hahaha Well, that's extreme scenario na, but you know what I am saying.  Everyday should be a day to give thanks to the Lord but let's  also have Thanksgiving Day as d-day to eat turkey and pumpkin pie, and more!

Good night, Dong Enzo, and take it easy.  May God bless you always!

How's Clark Kent? He's handsome! I like Lex Luthor too coz very effective kaayo iyang acting makapungot jud ba.

grazie i also use LBC when I ship all my many boxxes from the states. I think they often let you put in the entire world if you could fit it inside the carton.

I wish they had LBC service to send the boxxes filled with Filipino treats and goodies back to family in the states for pasalabom but they do not it is only for letters and small packages if your lucky to find the ones to accept the small packages.

I have found one company in SM in Cebu that flies boxxes to the states but only to New York.

I am hoping to take with me many persons all with good visa's once they get them and everyone will be having two balikbayan sized boxxes to take with them on the plane so i have plenty of pasalabom to hand out once I touch ground In the states.

LBC takes about three weeks for delivery to Bohol but I have often waited almost two months for the longest wait I ever had with them.

If your flying here your also allowed two boxxes to check in up to 72 lbs each and a carry on bag. and your purse I always make sure that the purse is very big so I can get more and bring it here to my kids.
I like flying EVA AIR of all the airlines as the seats are big and cozy to sit in and the leg space is spacious as well.
The kids love Kraft macaroni and canned chocolate frosting when i send the boxxes archie comics books, towels, and circle and find books they go nuts over.
nd Victoria secret as well.
Hope they love whats in the box when they receive it what a sweet girl you are. :)

Precious, I just had LBC pick up two boxes of goodies for Bohol yesterday.  Yes, you can put as much as you can in the box - regardless of weight.  I have come to master already to put a huge elephant in that LBC box, so to speak.  Luckily, the longest my family had to wait for the boxes to get there was 45 days.  Most of the time, LBC made true their promise to deliver the box with 30 to 45 days.  Oh yeah, my family will surely appreciate and be happy with what's in the box because it's filled with love.

Na touch ko's imong gi ingon Miss Grazie, kadtong filled with love. I've been buying stuff here and there for my family pud para sa Christmas, and each thing I buy, ubay2x nga consideration pa kung maka gusto ba ang hingtungdan. I've never liked shopping, don't even enjoy buying groceries, and I hate shopping for outfits and other girly things, but lately akong nawong tua na sa malls kay mangita ug unsa'y maayo ipadala pinaskuhan. Tinuod jud ka, each item I purchased, a lot of thought and love went into that. Buying stuff for a loved one is so much more fulfilling than buying for oneself.

Aguy, Ms. C2 oi, nasumpayan akong luha kay gikan lang ko nagbasa sa balak ni Mike for his Papa.  Pareho jud ta, I have never liked  shopping too (except for shoes and groceries  ;)) especially for clothes because I am allergic to fabrics ug kapoy jud sige laroy2x sa mall.  But, whenever I shop, I could hardly find something for myself.  Whenever I see something I like, it's always not for me but for my family.

Mao jud noh, Ms Grazie?

When I was younger, it was always me, me, me. We're a close-knit family, and I was lucky that I was spoiled by my family (in a good way). My uncles, aunts, lolos, lolas, even male cousins were always so generous to me...pero mao lagi, I was on the receiving end lang kanunay of their generosity. Now that I have an income of my own, I am able to return the favor bisan lang sa mga ginagmay nga butang, and it's a nice feeling that I am able to show my love for them in that way...through little things that may not have cost an arm and a leg, but filled with, as you said, lots of love.

There's no better joy than giving and sharing jud, Ms. C2 ba?  I just wish I can give more.  It's really nice to touch people by giving gifts, not so much I think for the gifts man jud but for the thought ba na imo silang gidumduman.  I even send gifts to my Mom's doctors kaso lang karon di nami pabayaran pa check up si Mommy mas ulaw na hinuon. hehehe
