uy, don't remind me, Mike. Kanang Christmas season jud, i get very jolly during its duration. It starts with me seeing my neighbors putting up Christmas lights...and the malls showing off christmas decor or gift sales, hahaha. Something about christmas that really changes people.....the birth of our lord...and really is a time of 'giving'.

Last year, I spent christmas with bulak. We ate buwad and pansit while watching my family on the web eating lechon.

I was happy though.

I'm going back with family, and my two best buds are also coming with me. They want to go 'pnay hunting' kono..hahahaha! Excited sila kai they want to try out different kinds of Filipino foods, and ako..excited ko kai gusto man ko mo visit bohol, cebu, and my ancestral province of Leyte-Pintuyan.

Yes Gin, it reminds me..naghu-ot ako dughan hopefully this x'mas dile na unta pariha sa una nato nga experience nga ato lang gikatulgan...huhuhu but at least pagmata nato diha sad ay nihatag nato og gift diba??? tnx to your aunts family...though wala tay klaro tulog the day before kay sige ta niya pukawon bisan 3am aron paimnon og sikwate og pakan-on og suman...nag bas tawn ako mata inig buka! but pugson nalang kay hulaga-on man sad ta nga og dile ta mumata dile nata kakaon kay wala na daw to pag-kaugma..

whew! its Christmas nasad? gush! murag dili man ko excited... maybe because, I am not that happy as before... somebody is lacking... this would be my second year, having a Christmas without my dad... The usual thing we did before on Christmas Eve was, we will be having a family gathering, have our dinner together, have some programs which ang mga apo nila papa was participating, even a 4 year old kid did a part of the program, mag MANITO-MANITA, then giving of surprise gifts from Abroad... as in super duper happy kaayo before among Christmas... Last year, we celebrated Christmas with just a simple dinner nalang together sa whole family.. cause my dad died man gud last March 2006. as in mingaw jud sya... and gimingaw sad kaayo ko sa akong papa...

well st.agnes.that is very sad to hear.But as what I said life has to go on,dili lang ikaw ang sad sa nahitabo,why not make yourself as a santa for all of your family...santa to give joy and happiness,kay sila pod nagsubo sa nahitabo.Share what you can than taking what you'll have for this season of love.There are things that need to be considered...as "considering inconsiderables to be considered",that was my words sa una pa,and now I'm going to share that specially sa akong mga friends.I know dili lalim ang mawad-an ug Papa,and the more dili lalim ang magdaku without Papa.......so we have to be thankful instead nga hangtod nagdaku ta,naay Papa nga nakigbisog para mulambo atong kaugman...the way nga nawala siya,it means God needs him,ug naay rason nga ang atong Ginoo lang ang nakahibalo.Let us be thankful to our dear Lord nga sa kadaghang katuyigan gipahulam niya ang life sa atong Papa,okey?..Merry Christmas dear.And continue doing what you did before,kay wherever hi is,surely naa siya nag-tan-aw..be happy ,aron he will go to his distination freely and happy.

papa's girl man gud ko... mao affected kaayo ko pag kawala sa akong papa... as mingaw to the max gyud... He was my good friend, my dad, my adviser sa lovelife, sa akong negosyo, sa akong work... as in grabeh to si papa... basta mingaw ko kaayo niya woi... I'll be home naman sad sa Bohol ugma after sa among exam... at last mo adto ko sa iyang puntod, and beside hapit na sad ang kalag-kalag...

Chrismas is lovely back home in America and mingaw for me here as my mom, and sister and brother's have not seen me for a very long time now.
I miss the types of foods we have back home so nice to eat. the Christmas deserts can not be beat as well. here lechon is at every holiday or birthday and once hurot the guest say bye bye you at Christmas time we normally feast on prime rib instead of our usual turkey bird meals.

We also make specail Christmas drinks like egg nog, hot Tom and Jeryy's, and ppermint alcohol drinks that are made with steamed water.
I am lonely when bakeries here do not make traditional cherry, apple, or pumpkin pies. I am able to make original chocolate fudge at 3x the cost compared to in the states.

When ever I share my recipee's with fellow Filipino friends they go crazy for the flavor of a sweet American flavored dessert!

I felt so bad for you, Precious; your friends only go there for the lechon you serve and not your company because you said once hurot the guest say bye bye. Our friends would stay until sleepy na and even would stay with us until morning comes. We always have fun when we celebrate Christmas. Back in times when we only had puto to celebrate Christmas with, we still had the same fun! We are full of fun, love and happines and all of the true meaning of Christmas.
