A barber was jailed Friday morning after he allegedly maliciously shaved the head of a police station chief in Cebu City.
Sr. Insp. Mario Monilar, chief of the Guadalupe Police Station, told reporters he went to Style Barbershop at the corner of M. Velez and V. Rama streets to have his hair cut. He was in civilian clothes.
Jessie Tacumba, 32, was cutting his hair, when Monilar noticed an uneven length. The police official told Tacumba to fix it.
Tacumba, a barber for 18 years, used an electric razor and shaved Monilar’s head instead.
â€When he screwed up my haircut, I introduced myself as a policeman,†Monilar said.
He asked Tacumba to go with him to the station where the latter could cut his hair properly.
When Tacumba refused, Monilar called SP01 Galo Amper and PO3 Edgardo Miego.
Although they did not handcuff Tacumba, they still brought him to the station and put him behind bars.
Tacumba, who has two little children, said he already apologized. He did not mean to embarrass Monilar.
â€I did not mean to mess up the haircut,†he said.
Monilar said he sensed something wrong with Tacumba after the latter stabbed the balloon brought by his wife.
Despite the “embarrassing†haircut, Monilar said he forgave Tacumba, although he still charged him with unjust vexation and resistance and disobedience to a person in authority Friday afternoon.
Monilar said this will teach Tacumba not to bully future customers. (PNA)
