I was ecstatic to hear this. The plight of the Asian-American in the political spectrum has reached the Executive Spheres.

President Barack Obama nominated Steven Chu, a Chinese-American, to become the Secretary of Energy of the United States of America. Dr. Chu is also a Nobel laureate from 1997; his nomination has been approved by the United States Senate.

This is a THUNDEROUS Achievement for All Asian-Americans and for the Chinese-American Community.

I am so PROUD to be an American. It is a nation where anyone can achieve, anyone can rise up to the ranks; with hard work and determination.

Where the color of one's skin or one's gender is not a limiting agent.
