It took me almost 10 years to finish.

Water is an elexir of life and one way to
enjoy it is to have a bath that serves the
purpose. The truth is, no matter what is
going on in our lives, there are no ordi-
nary moments, no minutes or seconds
that are meaningless so why not make
the most of the sensation of water with
health benefits.
Some of you must have experienced
this somehow, sometime in your life
as I did especially after work.
Here's how it is for your bath:
Baking Soda Bath-  Add 1/2 cup of baking
soda to a tub of warm water to sooth irritated
skin or itchy skin.
Epsom Salt Bath -Dissolve 2 cups of Epsom
salt in a warm bath to soothe away arthritic
pain, or reduce stiffness and soreness in
joints and muscles.
Ginger Bath- This is wonderful for easing
ssore muscles, relieving tension, aches and
pains from exercise, over work or fevers.
All you need is some powdered ginger, the
kind you buy right off the shelf in the spice
department in the supermarket. Use as little
2 TBSP. or 1/2 cup powdered ginger.
Ginger is very stimulating, so start with small
amount until you know your tolerance.
If you don't have a bath tub, you can use a
pail or a bucket  for the water and boil the
water with mashed ginger , or baking soda,
or epsom salt and mix with the  rest of the
water in the pail  or bucket and pour into
your body.

Epson salt melted in a bucket of warm water
is very soothing to your tired, achy feet.

Mao ni akong buhaton gikan sa trabaho
or a nice warm bath in a tub to relax
  the tired limbs and muscles.

Thanks for the info, kay bahin sa ginger?
wala pa ko kasuway ana, kay ang luy-a
naa na pirme sa akong kusina para
  luto ug sabaw.
Now I know other use for it.

On criticsm;

No person sees all of his faults. Every
person considers himself righteous
and feels whatever he does is correct.
For every act a person does, he has
a thousand excuses and rationalizations.
A person does not see what goes
against his prejudices. Other people
can be much more objective about us
and can find our wrongdoings and faults.
Hence, we must be willing to listen to
what others think that might be helpful.
Our original way of looking things will
frequently rise over and over again. We
therefore have to be on the lookout to
challenge ways of thinking that needlessly
cause negative emotions.
For this reason, we must consistently
work on positive ways of thinking as we
are all one big family.

Exactly, one way of learning is by listening more
and talking less, then examine ourselves
on a daily basis, humbly take corrections
and be open to receive advice from those
who has the knowledge to share, take it
or reject it diplomatically and politely
as you wish, whatever you decide keep it
            to yourself  ;D

We should work on ourselves to reach
a level that even if hundreds of thousands
of people cheer us, we will not feel conceited.
The most productive ways to express our
feelings of anger is to be honest and tell that
person why you feel angry and hurt about his
words and behavior. When you confront him,
keep away from name calling or labeling.
Point out the specific actions that bothers you.
You do not need to rage to get your point
across.
I think each party has given his sides of story.
With this experience, I hope all of us will be
motivated by using tact and good sense. I
don't think we have accomplish anything on
this trivial matter- only resentment and ill
feelings.

Like elevated cholesterol, elevated triglycerides are
closely linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular
disease, including heart attack, stroke, coronary
artery diseases, and atherosclerosis. Therefore it is
important that your triglycerides must also be checked.
It is important to note that some medicines used to
lower cholesterol do not work as effectively on trigly-
cerides.
Things that you should know about triglyceride to
safeguard to heart health. There are 5 things to know:
1. You can have high triglycerides even if your cholesterol
level is normal. Usually it is being done fasting and it is
being called lipid panel which includes the good and
bad cholesterol and triglycerides.
2.High triglycerides are more dangerous for women than
men. She's high risk for heart disease.
3.You can be slim and still have high triglycerides ( and
cholesterol) levels. Being slim is not a guarantee of having
a healthy blood lipid levels. However, having a larger waist-
line---- being shaped more like an apple -- is associated
with having  high triglyceride levels and a higher than average
risk of heart disease.
4. Triglycerides can damage more than just your heart.
Elevated triglycerides can also lead to liver damage and
pancreatitis ( inflammation of the pancreas).
Hypothyroidism ( too little thyroid hormone) can lead to
high triglycerides. The  reason for this are 2 things. First,
all of these disorders are related to a reduction in blood
supply to those organs. Second, in people with high trigly-
cerides, fats gets deposited in the internal organs, including
the liver, pancreas, thyroid gland and the heart.
5. There's plenty that you can do to lower your triglycerides.
Things you can do to make your good HDL (good cholesterol)
go up are the same thing you can do to make your triglycerides
and bad cholesterol go down. elevated triglycerides levels should
be treated early and agressively with diet, exercise, and any other
therapy your Doctor may recommend. Try to lose some weight
if you are overweight. Losing 10 lbs can bring down triglycerides
and cholesterol significantly. to get rid of that 10 lbs excess weight,
avoid junk food, watch portion sizes ( I love to eat- I don't watch
my portion which I should), and make sure you;'re getting adequate
calcium and omega 3 fatty acids ( fish oils). Since it's difficult to
get these nutrients in food, ask your Doctor whether you should
consider supplements. Also, limit alcohol consumption as this has
been known to elevate triglycerides.

Am sharing some information that I've read.

Yogurt fights colon cancer - even if you eat it
only one to three times a month. Reason -
unknown, but possibly related to the beneficial
bacteria in active yogurt. Bonus- yogurt is high
in calcium - and fat free yogurt is as effective
against cancer.
Vitamins to the rescue - Vitamin fight choles-
terol plaque- the primary cause of hardening
of the arteries. In lab studies, vitamin C was
shown to be 95% effective in preventing LDL
(low-density lipoprotein - "bad" cholesterol)
oxidation, which leads to plaque formation.
Also Beta carotene, a form of vitamin A, was
found to be 90% effective and vitamin E was
found to be 45% effective.
Vitamin C and the Brain -  Patients with lower
vitamin C levels in their blood scored lower on
tests measuring mental skills. Vitamin C is
believed to help the brain use protein to make
the neurotransmitters required for thinking and
remembering. Food with high levels of vitamin
C include broccoli, bell peppers, collards, oranges
and grapefruit.
Vitamin C vs. Heart Disease - Vitamin C boosts
HDL -- "good" cholesterol--- especially the HDL
type considered most important in fighting coro-
nary artery disease. Vitamin C is also a powerful
antioxidant -- helping reduce fatty deposits on
arterial walls.

While diabetes can't be cured, it can be managed.

One of the easiest and most effective way is to make
the right choices : What to eat, how often you exercise,
and how well you monitor your blood sugar can make
a big difference in how diabetes affects your life.
Eating healthy doesn't just happen. It takes time and
effort but you can do it. How much you eat is as im-
portant as what you eat. Learning to determine portion
size  is one of the most important and long lasting skills
you can learn in helping control diabetes. Use sugar
substitute instead of regular table sugar. Drink diet soda
instead of regular soda. Eat a piece of fruit instead of
cakes, cookies or candies. Stop eating when you feel
satisfied.
The importance of physical activity provides many
health benefits including better blood sugar control,
lower risk of heart disease, stroke and cancer, prevention
of bone and muscle loss, lowered blood pressure and
reduced stress as well as prevention or delay of diabetes
complications. Just 30 minutes of physical activity like
walking or aerobic exercise a day can make a difference.
When you have diabetes, it's very important to maintain
tight control of your blood sugar levels. Keeping tight
control meaning within normal limits blood sugar levels
can help slow the progression of complications such as
eye, kidney, heart and nerve damage. And monitoring
also helps you better gauge how certain foods affect your
blood sugar levels.
When to check your blood sugar levels ?--- While each
person's blood sugar testing schedule is slightly different
based on his or her medications and lifestyle, here are
the majority of the people test at common points during
the day :
1. Fasting blood sugar testing - test in the morning when
you wake up, before eating, drinking, exercising or
      taking any medications.
2. Pre-meal testing - test just before eating, especially
if you use insulin or oral medications to help control
     blood sugar.
3. After meal testing - test one to two hours after a meal.
4. Bedtime Testing - Work with your Doctor to determine
the best time for this test.
Live Healthy for a better life and longevity.
