Motorcycle rider and child injured in Alicia road mishap
ALICIA, Bohol - A motorcycle rider and his 10-year-old passenger were injured after being sideswiped by a van in Barangay Poblacion on Friday morning.
The victims were identified as Michael Quinlog, 37, and Dexie Ayuban, both residents of Alicia town.
According to the Alicia police, Quinlog was driving a Honda Dash 110 motorcycle with plate number 5085YC along the national highway going to Advance Christian Academy (ACA) in Poblacion when he was hit by a Mitsubishi Delica van with plate number RAU 940 driven by Jimison Calubiran, 35.
Calubiran was also heading to the same direction when he accidentally bumped into Quinlog’s motorcycle.
The impact caused Quinlog and Ayuban to fall from their vehicle and sustain injuries in different parts of their body.
They were rushed to Alicia Infirmary Clinic but were later transferred to a hospital in Tagbilaran City for further medical treatment.
The vehicles involved were slightly damaged and were brought to the Alicia police station for safekeeping, documentation and proper disposition.
The police said they are still investigating the incident.
