The Angolan capital remains the world’s most expensive city for expatriates, according Mercer’s annual survey. The high cost of rent, security and imported goods in the oil-rich nation, has kept Luanda atop the survey for three years running. Hong Kong has climbed to second, with Zurich and Singapore sitting third and fourth respectively. Chad’s capital N’Djamena, the only other African city in the top ten, dropped from second to tenth. Geneva, Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul and Bern make up the remainder of the top ten.
