I've Been Out Of Work For Six Months

Why can't I find a job? So what if I haven't worked for seven months. I'm looking for a job! I needed a vacation before I start looking for another job. Should I take a contract position? If there is 9% unemployment, there is 91% employment! What's "dead time" and who cares about it?
