Dubai Job Scam

Would you shell out P1.9 million to scavenge through garbage in Dubai?

The Filipino drivers who ended up as scavengers in Dubai after being stranded there for three months each owed some P1.9 million to various lending companies, their lawyer said Tuesday.

Lawyer Reynaldo Robles and Susan Ople, head of the Blas F. Ople Policy Center that is helping the workers, called on the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) to cancel the permit of the workers’ recruitment agency, CYM International Services, for the troubles the drivers are going through.

Robles said that while the original placement fee was only P150,000, the lending firms were going after the workers for debts totaling P1.9 million each.

“The tragedy here is they were already duped and stranded for three months in Dubai—sometimes eating only once a day and resorting to scavenging to survive—and when they get back home, they [each] face a debt of P1.9 million and are being threatened with lawsuits,” Robles said after a hearing Tuesday at the POEA on the workers’ case.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Pagkalooy sa mga Pinoy nga nagdamgo ug kahamugaway nga kinabuhi para sa ilang pamilya nya iladon ra.Kaya beware. Better plant vegetables & raise hogs if you have a place at home than gamble to unsure jobs.
