My fellow Boholanos,

I am proud to announce that Jun Ayag is for the second time a nominee of the Global search for "Most Outstanding Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) for Individual and Organizationsâ€. Last week his nomination was endorsed by no other than the Labor Attache Atty. David Des Dicang to be one of the contenders in this prestigious search.

The criteria for his nomination were based upon his endeavor as major proponent and contributor of the Re-integration of OFWs. As OFW, we will eventually settle to our home country when our services are no longer required by our host country. Jun is one of the few individuals who are concerned of the plight an OFW faces when he/she is not prepared to face such event. So, Jun conducted lectures and seminars promoting livelihood programs to various organizations in Saudi Arabia. He is also the vice chairman of a Boholano group BOWACCC who is promoting the same cause, to save your earnings for a rainy day.

Now, Junâ€™s time is in demand by various Filipino organizations in Saudi Arabia and Junâ€™s â€œlivelihood/re-integration lectureâ€ is always an important part of every Filipino functions.

Personally, I have known Jun through his help when I was jobless in a foreign country. He employed me in Speedcash Saudi-American Bank as a part time employee while I am searching for a permanent job.

I am not a good writer and just an ordinary individual. However, I believe the simplicity of my words gives a profound understanding of Junâ€™s true character. As a high caliber person, Jun does not classify his friends based on their background, education and level in society. He does not mind spending his personal time to lend a helping hand within his capacity, if it is for the general welfare of his countrymen.

It has never been my prime goal to be recognized for a service or assistance much more to those who are in need...in congruence to my passion and advocacy that man can experience true fulfillment through selfless contribution...but was convinced after more than 2 decades that the recognition is not for self-gratification but a realization and manifestation coming from people whose lives have been touched... in one way or another... with my time, values, advocacies and so on...

Recently, I significantly got involved in the government's banner program - the Reintegration Program for Filipinos Overseas...Reintegration is not only on economic liberation but also social re-integraton.

It is acknowledged that the most important component of "Re-integration" is about Values... hence, I've developed a course module on Values Orientation and Redirection. This focused on Self-Empowerment and Emotional Intelligence... discovering oneself.. your potentials and how we relate with the demanding and dynamic environment... when we know ourselves... we will know how to capitalize our positive values and available resources; learn how to embed quality align with your values, emotions and of others... it is how you prepare yourself for any given situations..." Life does not exist for itself " " Success is not measured of who you are, what you have but how you brought joy to the people you've encountered"... it requires a skill of developing your own potentials with others... Akong nahibaloan dili man sila particular sa English composition, they are more particular on the substance... bisan simple lang (mas maayo ng very understable and down-to-earth pagka estorya kay mas tuhuan ).

I believe that they count more on the sincerity of the testimonials and recommendations rather than the aesthetic value of how it is written. So, dako akong pasalamat sa inyong pagtoo nga I deserved for such an award.
