Francisco Japson, a native of Guindulman, Bohol now takes the estate management of the multi-billion South Road Properties (SRP) after Cebu City Mayor Tomas OsmeÃ±a was given the go-ahead signal by the City Council last Wednesday to sign Japson for a consultancy services for the 290-hectare estate.

Japson will provide the City Mayor strategies on leasing, maintenance, insurance, rent review, revaluation and development opportunities for these prime SRP lots.

He is also tasked to formulate planning systems on development and management, and inspect, report and give advice for the purpose of SRP land care and long-term conservation.

Before the year ends, OsmeÃ±a announced that a 30-hectare lot in the SRP will be bidded out and this first sale will definitely be the baptism of fire for Japson in this new gigantic role.

Japson, however, carries with him an impressive working experience with Cebuâ€™s leaders. He was administrative officer and executive assistant of former governor Emilio â€œLitoâ€ OsmeÃ±a from 1988 to 1992.

Former Cebu governor and now House Deputy Speaker Rep. Pablo â€œPablingâ€ Garcia made Japson his provincial administrator from 1996 to 2004, extending throughout his whole three terms as governor.

In the private sector, Japson, an accountant had also a long experience working in the countryâ€™s big companies, like the Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corp. He had also working stints abroad, in the countries of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America.

His services was acquired by the city government through a negotiated procurement and endorsed by the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) in a resolution dated Sept. 7, 2007.

â€œThe City Government of Cebu desires to engage the services of Mr. Japson as consultant on the SRP management, a position which is primarily confidential and policy determining and where trust and confidence are the primary consideration,â€ the BAC resolution stated.

Japson is married to former Barangay Banilad chairwoman Leah Ouano-Japson, now elected Cebu City Councilor for the North District.

He is also a Board of Director of Ayala Land.

Sooner I will meet him and talk real estate business kay Real Estate Development man ang expertise ko. Yabang ano? Pag adto na ako sa atoa mo-settle. Pohon pakabuhion pa ta! Average lang ning tawhana sa elementary grades. Dili parehas ni Intig nga among Batch '65. Salutatorian' sa Central School. Honorable Mention mi ni Pempe, Kusila Liao, ug si Beda Olano. Actually, kalingaw mi mag kita ni Nong Frank year 2000-2003 Kay Kon naa sila Board meeting sa Ayala Land adto sa Hotel Intercontinental ija ko pa adtoon sa Makati after meeting dad-on mi ni Agaw Frank ug si Nong Ewad sa dinner adto ra sa 10th floor sa Intercon. Kadtong mga panahona plano sfjag dagan ug paka mayor sa ato. Admivistrator na pod sija sa Cebu Province. Ako sija guiingnan nga dagan nalang ug Congressman kaysa Mayor. Wala man to madayon ijang plano. Kalingaw to text nako pangamusta. Very thoughtful jud to si Nong Frank.

My senior moments are here to stay. I know that Intig is wiht with Kusela in the USA. They are a nice couple anyway. I have a vague memory of Frank Japson.

Peter Cadorna, of Guinacot is former Vice President of Filnetwork a sudsidiary of Filstate now involved with Earthlink. Ubay-ubay ni na mga successful sa Property Development.

More than ten years kaming nag uban. Siya sa finance management ug ako sa project operations. Bag-uhay pa lang siyang ni retire with El Rey Ramos, her husband.

Her parents are retired public school teachers and she graduated high school at Bohol High, pursued BSAccountancy at UE Manila and excelled in her profession as a CPA. Another whammy for her was when she married to El Rey Ramos, a prominent banker who became president of EastWest Bank, a corporate bank of Filinvest Group of Companies. They live in Valle Verde.

Nong Ondo Bernaldez and Pesyong Bernaldez are relative but not that close anymore. Non Ondo hails from Catungawan while Non Pesyong hails from Canhaway. Ang asawa ni Nong Ondo maoy igsoon sa inahan ni Lydia Bayron. Diha si Lydia magsaka sa ila pag eskwela niya sa Guindulman Central School. Dugay nang panahon nag migrate sila Nong Ondo sa Hawaii silang tanan. Si Lydia nakahuman sa korsong Nursing sa Velez School sa Cebu ug napangasawa ni Jun Balaba taga Guinacot pot nga nagdako ub nageskwela sa Cagayan de Oro City. Karon, toa na sila magpuyo sa Bresbane, Australia. Tax Officer ang trabaho ni Jun sa Bresbane.
