My husband and I watched it, right after it was released. Pretty darn good insights of the lousy health care of America. Scary, shocking, sad to those who suffered a lot.

Tinuod jud to tanan gisulti didto about the American healthcare system. We are basically run by private entities who control life and death decisions, who see us not as people, but as a profit and loss statement.

I deal with this crap everyday, and I deal with patients who ask why certain much-needed medications are not being covered, and all I can tell them is, "there is nothing we can do on our end, you'll have to take that up with your insurance company".

Just today, I felt so sad when I had to refuse a regular patient's request for a certain medication. She doesn't have prescription coverage, and she gets her meds from Canada because they're much cheaper there. It's a long story, but I had to say no to her, there was a pause on the other line, and I know how disappointed she was. I did give her an option though, and I hope she gets the med she needs.

I hope that HR 676 bill gets passed into law,

there is just too much power in the hands of PBMs and insurance companies,

it's even gotten to a point where they have their own mandated treatment plan,

and if the doctor writes a prescription that doesn't 'fit' into that particular 'regimen',

then either the med doesn't get approved, or the doctor has to call the insurance company,

and 'justify' his 'actions', which is really ridiculous, and a process that takes days,

i-postpone nalang sa pasyente iyang sakit until ma approve ang tambal

ambot lagi oi, these insurance companies are some of the biggest contributors

in presidential/political campaigns,

so this will be an uphill battle jud
