The Provincial Council for the Welfare of Children (PCWC) sent an evaluating team here for the local government unit’s qualification in the Search for the Most Child-Friendly LGUs†among the first class, second class and third class municipalities in Bohol.
In addition to Charle Magne Lindo, a child advocate from barangay Pooc Oriental, this town, one more representative will be chosen.
Mayor Luna Piezas led the evaluators who met on June 17 at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall here. They were Jun Tabaranza of PECCO Bohol, T. Galamba of DSWD, PO3 Melinda Basalo of PNP-Bohol, Cecilio Co of DepEd, Zenaida Jumawid of PNP, Salome Llorente of FIC, the principal and staff of Tubigon Central Elementary School, the municipal health officer of this municipality, DSWD staff assigned here, municipal government staff.
The evaluation team had fast-tracked the accreditation process in time for the competition before end of this year.
This is in line with the forthcoming Search for Most Child-friendly LGUs among first to the third class municipalities of Bohol.
Mayor Piezas expressed gratitude to the evaluators that a child advocate and another representative of the municipality were chosen to join the participants to represent in Region VII level.
