Globe Tattoo vs Smartbro
A lot of people have been telling me that Globe Tattoo is really fast even in remote towns of Bohol. These people have used both Smartbro and Globe Tattoo and they have concluded that Smartbro sucks while Globe is amazingly fast.

What is your experience with Smartbro or Globe Tattoo?

The distance from the user to the nearest cell site is a big factor here. And usually, Globe Tattoo connects much faster than Smart Bro.

I have a question regarding Globe.  I will  visiting Bohol from Hawaii in 7/12, and was planning to bring  my Wifi only Galaxy tablet rather than my bulky laptop.  ( I need a device larger than my smart phone in order to do some work with spreadsheets and documents while I am there).

My  thought was  to purchase a Wifi hot-spot device from either Smart or Globe once I arrived in the P.I., however, I have no USB port on my tablet so I cannot use the Globe flash device.  Online I could only find a device by Globe called "Myfi", but no details on how it works.  Can anyone tell me if this is a rechargeable battery operated portable wifi hotspot that I could connect to with my Galaxy Tab?

I see that Smart has a portable Wifi hotspot, however after reading this article I am not sure Smart would be the best choice.  If it makes any difference I will be spending most my time at Alona Beach, and in Tagbilaran.

Thanks for any advice you can offer
