It is said that Magtangtang got its name because it is where Dagohoy would take off his armor after his battles with the Spanish forces, which, of course, sometimes included Filipino conscripts.

However, it is also said that the place got its name because it used to be frequented by bandits and it is where people's belongings, and sometimes lives, were involuntarily taken from them.

I personally vote for Sigbin’s avatar. It is so symbolic and if I’m not mistaken it is inside one of Dagohoy’s cave. It represents hope, light at the end of the tunnel. I guess you personally took that picture from inside the cave and you have to be brave to do that.
