Logarita Spring of Bilar - Promoting Bohol

With waters from the Raja Sikatuna Park Mountain spring and surrounded by indigenous forest, this place is formerly called "Karahan" by old folks. Presenting to you "Logarita Spring" where I spent countless hours of swimming during my childhood years until our eyes turns red. Here, you can actually drink the crystal clear flowing water from its mountain source.

nakabisita ko sa logarita spring sa bilar when i was in high school.... nice to sauna because totally gisemento ra ang area... then ang picnic area gamay ra jud... murag inato.. i love the simplicity of the place. now, naa nay mga cottages.

sikat man ang logarita sa locals. pero maglisod ang LGU Bilar how to package it sa mga tourist. now, nga close na ang raja sikatuna park, unsa pa man ubang adtoon?

for me if muadto lang sa lograita to see the spring, dili nalang ko oy....

convince me to go there again!

Thanks for posting Macky.  Wow..it looks very nice now.  Was there in the year 1977 after my engagement ceremony with my first husband.... that place  was still very quite, wild and adventurous. The water was too clear and cold and there were even...I think wild horses around.

Actually Manay, the idea of "Hill Veranda" like Sagbayan Peak originated here. During 1980's they built a cement track from Logarita to the peak of Raja Sikatuna Park. There, you can see the whole town of Bilar, extending to Loboc and the old Church.

It was discouraged then, due to conflicts between military and subversive elements.

I am not sure if those tracks are still navigable as it will be easily covered by dead leaves.

Nakadungog ko Bambs sa istorya sa akong amahan nga kung kusog kuno ug ulan, kanang atbang sa lugarita ma puno ug tubig ug mura ug dagat tanawon.

Pagkahuman sa ulan, manggawas kuno ang mga wild horses gikan sa bukid ug mag kasaw-kasaw ug manggi away sa tubig.

Ambot karon kung duna pay nabilin nga mga wild horses anang dapita. Akong nakit-an manok ihas ra man ug kagwang.

Leo, ngano nga na close man ang Raja Sikatuna Park? Tungod ba sa mismanagement issue ni Granert?

Kinsa na man lang ang magbantay sa mga facilities didto? Duna pa bay mga forest ranger nga mag bantay kung ugaling dunay sunog or illegal logers?

Para ma attract ang mga local & international tourist, ang akong idea mag organize ug week long rock concert with a theme of "nature preservation" in the middle of Raja Sikatuna Grand Stand similar to Woodstock Festival. Tourist will set up camps and tents around the stage.

The municipality will earn commissions from Travel agents & airline, rents from tents + food/beverage sales.

this is a wonderful idea Macky, can I add to that a half-pipe for skateboarders is an attarctive sports for the youngsters also, outdoor  ping-pong & volleyball just to name a few.

If this is made possible in Clark, then why not in Bohol. We have more scenic views. Below is the 11th Clark hot air balloon show in 2007.

Manay, dili sa panghambog, kami ang nakauna ug skate boarding sa Tagbilaran. Grade 2 pa lang ko gi palitan mi sa akong Papa nga trabaho sa una sa Wake Island.

Anha mi mag skate boarding sa front garden sa Cocacola kay open pa sa public kanang dapita. Ang akong trick akong paluksohon ang skate board sa taas nga hagdanan.

Maayo gyud na nga idea Manay.

Encourage the youth to engage on productive endeavors like sports, leadership, creative/artistic things, financial management, spiritual, Ethics. Such will empower them to stand on their own as leaders.

Actually it is our responsibility as fading generation to guide the children of today. Never to deny what mistakes we did so they will avoid such in future.
