While waiting for Mike's reply, I'm reminded of a special kind of dinuguan which my grandma's sister (lola gud gihapon nako) used to prepare when they throw out a party:
Instead of pig's internal organs, they used banana flower (puso sa saging)
Instead of pig's blood, they used tablea.
The usual spices for dinuguan goes into the dish.
Both she and her husband were vegetarians, that's why.
I haven't tasted this dish for more than 15 years since my grandma passed away.
