‘For Aquino or Arroyo?’, that’s the challenge raised by the leaders of Liberal Party to Vice President Jejomar Binay last Tuesday, April 10.
VP Binay’s camp recently announced that his political party, Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), and Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino of ex-President Joseph Ejercito Estrada formed an alliance named United Nationalist Alliance (UNA). The UNA party will be top billed by some great senators and even the critics of the current administration. Budget Secretary Florencio ‘Butch’ Abad Jr and Cavite Representative Joseph E.A. Abaya challenged Binay to take a stand whether if UNA party will represent President Benigno Aquino III’s administration or the regime of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
