      Heavy downpour brought about by Typhoon Frank failed to hinder the ceremonial turn-over of five personal computers to President Carlos P. Garcia Memorial High School in barangay San Agustin here from the First Consolidated Bank (FCB) Foundation.

      Representing the Local Government Unit of Talibon (LGU-Talibon), Mayor Juanario Item received the new five personal computers (PCs) with softwares handed by Dionisio Baseleres, community relations manager of FCB.

      Mayor Item then turned them over to barangay Kagawad Roberto Buno, PTCA president and finally to Demetrio Tuston, secondary school principal of PCPGMHS.

      Under its Computer Capability Program for Public Schools (CCPPS), the corporate social responsibility program of FCB through FCB Foundation, had been donating PCs to public elementary and high schools in the province.

      The PCPGMHS is the third of the six public high schools opened in this most progressive northern town of Bohol.

      It was purposely opened to give easy access to students coming from the neighboring barangays of San Agustin who want to pursue secondary education and to decongest the mother high school, San Jose National High School (SJNHS) in barangay San Jose, this municipality.

      PCPGMHS now has a total of 710 students. It only has 659 students last year with only one computer unit for use of the students and 23 teaching forces.

      Baseleres, in his statement, said that the FCB CCPPS program is already on its second year of giving computer to public schools in Bohol.
