Tagbilaran City Budget Officer Rosemarie Palma denied a report that she is planning to sue Tagbilaran City Councilor Zenaido Djngo Rama in court for libel after the latter exposed that some offices of the city hall is allegedly selling softdrinks to its employees.
Palma in an interview with dyTR and Standard said that she only got irked of a news item that came out in a local weekly that she was not given a fair treatment when the writer didn't bother to get her side of the story.
Palma also clarified that she will never entertain anymore that issue for she has a clear conscience that her office is involved in selling softdrinks but she admitted that some departments of the city hall had stocks of softdrinks in their refrigeraoirs for their personal consumptions.
Meanwhile, Rama stressed that he will not issue anymore statement about that issue.
He said that the it is only a mere small coin to him compared to his strong commitment to the development of the city. "Gamay ra man na, sinsilyo lang." Rama added.
Earlier, Rama told dyTR that he was hurt when he was singled out by some of his detraciors that he is using a refrigerator at his office for his own personal consumption but he clarified that he need only it for the storing of an insulin for his medicine.
