After Shoppers Mart, the First Consolidated Bank has also installed Electronic Fund Transfer/Point-of-Sale (EFT/POS) terminals at
Plaza Marcela, Alturas Supermarket, and Island City Mall, in its effort to give convenience and safety in doing business to thousands of its PITAKArd holders.
This means FCB PITAKArd holders can now purchase goods and service from Shoppers Mart, Plaza Marcela, Alturas Supermarket and Island City Malls using their PITAKArds.
FCB Vice President Joseph Lacea said the plan is to install 400 EFT/POS terminals in accredited merchants and companies in Bohol. FCB will then install EFT/POS terminals in Siquijor and Palawan.
Already preparations are underway with BOHECO, Bohol Light and Bohol Water for consumers to pay their bills using FCB PITAKArd.
Vice President Lacea said when all these EFT/POS will be installed in businesses in Bohol these will bring tremendous advantage to PITAKArd holders.
He envisioned that FCB PITAKArd holder will eventually shift into a cashless and safe shopping and payment system using the FCB PITAKArd.
Since the bank launched its PITAKArd in the last quarter of last year, there are now more than 10,000 FCB PITAKArd holders and this number is growing very fast as many FCB depositors have seen the safety and convenience of doing their financial transactions using the FCB card.
The FCB PITAKArd can also be used in withdrawing funds from FCB Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). FCB has ATMs in 22 location in Bohol.
Those who are interested to acquire an FCB PITAKArd may open an account at any FCB branches in Bohol.
