The Jordanian National Paralympic Committee decided on Thursday to withdraw three Paralympians from the 2012 London Paralympics after they were accused of sexual assault.
The three men, who will return to Jordan late on Thursday, are expected to appear in court in Northern Ireland on Oct. 18, the committee said in a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Xinhua.
On Wednesday, the committee voiced regret and shock at the charges that had been lodged against three of its squad members.
The three Jordanians, who had been training in Northern Ireland, were arrested Monday in the town of Antrim, northwest of Belfast, following the claims of indecent assault made by two girls and two members of staff at a leisure center. - pna
