One-time WBA light flyweight title challenger, one-time WBO minimumweight title challenger and former IBO minimumweight world champ Noel Tunacao is gearing up for a ring return on July 10 in an 8-round bout against Jagna terror Carlo Magale in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The bout will be on the undercard of the titular defense of RP junior welter king Mark Jason Melligen, who will face Jury Noda in a 12-round war.
"His trainer says this time it's for good. So we will see what happens," a source told Philboxing.com regarding Tunacao's latest attempt to return to professional prizefighting.
Nicknamed 'The Eel' for his exemplary ability to elude opponent's punches, Tunacao was once considered one of the finest boxers in the country during his heydays.
On July 10, fans will see if he still has the goods to even give him a chance to get noticed once again.
