Great honor spelled out the sentiment for Arnel Tinampay, a Boholano Philippine Welterweight champion, for having been chosen to be the sparring partner of boxing celebrity Manny Pacquiao's for the upcoming fight with Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera.
It could be a stepping stone for one who dreams to be a world boxing champion someday like Tinampal, a home-grown boxer from Dagohoy.
Tinampay, recently got the offer from Pacquiao's boxing trainer Buboy Fernandez and boxing coach Fredie Roach.
In excitement, the Boholano boxer said he could not avoid imagining he is at the Madison Square Garden in New York, USA fighting in world championship bout before millions of fanatics.
Indeed, he considers it a great honor to be part of the second most popular boxing hero's preparation for a worldwide gab.
During their sparring sessions, Tinampay learned more boxing lessons which included head movements, footwork and defensive tactics.
Tinampay was born in barangay San Miguel, Dagohoy. He finished elementary education at San Miguel Elementary School and his secondary education at the Dagohoy National High School in Dagohoy.
