The World's famous Filipino billiard wizards Efren "Bata" Reyes and Francisco "Django" Bustamante won't play in the forthcoming 2010 Guinness World Series 9-ball Championships to be held on July 28 to August 1 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Local and foreign fans would sorely miss watching the famed cue artists but according to International Master (IM) Marlon Bernardino, Christine "Ish" Caparas of Puyat Sports revealed Reyes and Bustamante won't compete in the Guinness World Series 9-ball in Jakarta because they are both brand endorsers of San Miguel Beer and Ginebra San Miguel Beer, direct competitors of Guinness, an Irish stout beer.

However, Caparras added that Reyes and Bustamante, the 1-2 punch of Aristeo "Putch" Puyat are slated to defend their world title in the 2010 Partypoker.net World Cup of Pool on September 7 to 12.

In the 2010 Guinness World Series 9-ball Championships, Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan and Antonio "Ga-Ga" Gabica already booked their seat in the main draw upon the invitation of the organizing committee.

The champion here gets US$ 40,000 top prize money.

Lee Vann Corteza, Marlon Manalo, Ronato Alcano, Dennis Orcollo, Roberto Gomez, Warren Kiamco, Carlo Biado, Jundel Mazon and Ricky Zerna will need to go through grueling qualification tournament set on July 24.
