Saint Anthony of Padua

Also known as
    Antonio da Padova
    Evangelical Doctor

Memorial
    13 June

Profile
Anthony's wealthy family wanted him to be a great nobleman, but for the sake of Christ he became a poor Franciscan. Priest.
When the remains of Saint Berard and his companions, the first Franciscan martyrs, were brought to be buried in his church, Anthony was moved to leave his order, enter the Friars Minor, and go to Morocco to evangelize. Shipwrecked at Sicily, he joined some other brothers who were going to Portiuncula. Lived in a cave at San Paolo leaving only to attend Mass and sweep the nearby monastery. One day when a scheduled speaker failed to appear, the brothers pressed him into speaking. He impressed them so that he was thereafter constantly travelling, evangelizing, preaching, and teaching theology through Italy and France.
A gifted speaker, he attracted crowds everywhere he went, speaking in multiple tongues; legend says that even the fish loved to listen. Wonder worker. One of the most beloved of saints, his images and statues are found everywhere. Proclaimed a Doctor of the Church on 16 January 1946.

I believed St Anthony de Padua is the seekers of lost article. One of my neighbor in Canangcaan went to Sikatuna and have a novena of the patron  and prayed asking the return of her lost necklace. After the ninth novena, the lost necklace was returned by a small boy. This is one of the untold stories in my KD story of Corella. He becomes a devotee to St. Anthony. Every fiesta , she is there in Sikatuna and lighted  candles to the saint.

According to our missionary priest in India St. Anthony Padua is so popular saint in India .St. Anthony always deliver thats what they believe. I am devotee of St. Anthony. He is my bestfriend magtan aw man gud ko niya kay morahan ko niya ug ilong ug barog sa akong bana heheheh. If you ask something you lost tinuod gyud mabalik. One time I mention to my husband I lost something and ask St. Anthony to return it back to me and yes he did return it.My husband then ask if I pray 13 Our Father and 13 Hail Mary to say thank you to  St. Anthony and I just simply said do I have to. How ungrateful you are that what my husband telling me. Very religious gyud ang akong husband kay nako I am glad iya ko gitudluan more about Saint Anthony.
Si St. Anthony sad ang patron saint sa mga couple who have infertility problem.
