Ruffa Gutierrez admitted that her ex-beau John Lloyd Cruz’s relationship with current girlfriend Shaina Magdayao “overlapped†with their
short-lived romance.
“I know my agreement with JL (how Ruffa calls Lloydy). I don’t know what his agreement is with other people. But this year medyo… yes [nag-overlap], pero… hindi ko alam [kung ilang buwan],†the former beauty queen confessed during her birthday special on “Paparazzi,†June 27.
Without directly specifying how long their relationship lasted, Ruffa said they were together “the whole of last year†and had their “final closure†just two months ago.
The actress-host revealed that even before John Lloyd finally confirmed the real score between him and Shaina, she already knew about it. “Inamin naman sa’kin ni JL ‘yon, and we tried our best to say our goodbyes finally,†she said.
However, she intimated that she didn’t take the situation lightly.
“Trust me, alam ni JL kung anong ginawa ko nung nalaman ko. I’m the sweetest person on earth. But remember, anak ako ni Annabelle Rama and also ex ko si Yilmaz [Bektas], so sanay na ko makipaglaban,†Ruffa maintained.
Albeit she refused to divulge what she exactly did, she said “Matapang akong tao. I know exactly what I want, so I’m not the type who will just sit there and accept everything.â€
