E-Crediting now open in GSIS Dumaguete
by R. Nessia
Dumaguete City (29 June 2005) -- Members of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) in Negros Oriental can now avail of the E-Crediting program at the GSIS branch in Dumaguete City.

GSIS has earlier announced that starting August 1 this year, GSIS will credit the proceeds of its members' salary loans through the GSIS eCard, completing the first phase of its EGranting program that aims to eliminate paper work and the writing of checks in the disbursement of GSIS loan, claims and benefits.

However, local GSIS Information Officer Jaydon Villaverde said the local GSIS office started the E-Crediting system effective last June 24, 2005.

Villaverde said GSIS members who wish to apply for an Enhanced Salary Loan (ESL) will have to first fill out the new application form from GSIS. "Old forms for ESL will no longer be received by GSIS," says Villaverde.

Applicants will then secure a tentative computation of their proceeds from GSIS and the member has to agree with the said computation before his/her ESL application will be processed.

Processing time for ESL is within one day upon submission of the new application form together with the applicant's tentative computation. "This is real time crediting, and upon approval of the loan and uploading to the applicant's account, GSIS will send a text or email to the applicant informing his/her of the loan approval," explains Villaverde.

The member can then withdraw the ESL proceeds from his/her UnionBank eCard account. "No more clearing time for checks unlike before," she added.

For inquiries about eCrediting, members can call Mrs. Annabel Escorial at tel. no. 2261955. (PIA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
