As a protocol prior, the Land Administration and Management Project (LAMP-2) conducted a Rapid Land Tenure Appraisal (RLTA) in Jagna for a systematic operation in the municipality.
Jagna is among the recipient-municipalities of LAMP-2 under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
RLTA is the process of information gathering undertaken by the barangays in a concerned town, the municipal government, purok officials or leaders.
The social development staff of LAMP-2 guides RLTA.
LAMP-2 sets the time-frame for RLTA in just one to two weeks upon gathering of data and other information pertaining to land ownerships.
This also shows how active and cooperative the barangays involved in the process.
The most important task of priority barangays deals with determining the number of potential and workable lots; and the participation of barangay officials.
The number of potential lots refers to the total number of untitled lots as projected in the Cadastral Index Map (CIM) and from the validated record from the Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) as to the lands’ status.
In addition, the number of workable lots refers to the total number of agricultural untitled lots.
This also excludes lots with disputes that have been registered in court, lots that still require segregation and/or subdivision surveys, and lots with absentee claimants for whom there are no known addresses.
Meanwhile, Systematic Adjudication Field Office (SAFO) personnel in Sikatuna, Bohol hope to commence its operations by middle of this month after the project exits the town within this week.
