And for the record psychiatrist is not all for crazy people.My friends are not crazy but I am just lucky they trust me as their confidante.I remember when I first came her in U.S.,my mother in law who just lost her husband of 51 years and felt ignored by the children went to see a psychiarist and it did help her a lot.

The psychiatrist/ clinical psychologist is there to hear the deep mental trauma that is affecting the patient's ability to live a functioning life; it can be dealing with loss of a loved one, depression, elderly age, separation, etc.
We'd be surprised to see how much just 'talking' can really help a person. We are always taught in medicine one thing:
To listen to the patient, let them be heard.Just being heard, in actuality, helps in the healing / grieving process.
