Ma'am Raquel, you have great tastes in shows Wink

Right now I love watching Dr. G: Medical Examiner, and some Discovery Health channels. I try to follow only the ones that are showing whenever i get back home from class lol!
Why? its neat because the things we learn in class, and during hospital rounds--being applied and mentioned in health shows--makes me smile.

Being able to identify and recognize a terminology that the 1st or 2nd year residents use makes me and some of my study buddies smile. Well it makes us laugh, lol.

Everything connects.

I also like watching History Channel shows; some shows that I like are River Monsters.

I always watch DR. G medical examiner I wish they never blur the picture when she cut the body lol. I like the Trauma Life in the E.R and the Critical Hour because sometimes they really show all the guts(spleen, intestine, even they massage the heart and all kinds of blood) during operation. They even show the incision which I find very fascinating and neat.I do watch history channel sometimes but I love every show in health channel. Dili ni pwede nga show sa mga hadlukan ug dugo.

Raquel, I remember you shared before that you read medical books and memorize the lessons, and now you share that you like watching ER shows, as well as other Health Care shows.

Have you ever thought about pursuing a medical career, Ma'am Raquel? Ever thought about going to school for nursing or medicine?

It is very possible.

I have a classmate, who is a 2nd year med student with me; he graduated college in 1983 in business, worked and got his CPA certificate. He worked as an accountant for years, and went back to nursing school. Worked as a nurse for some time, and loved it. He then went back to school to take required courses for medical school.

He is a smart individual. And now he is here, in our class. He is one of the smart ones in our batch, to be honest. He memorizes what the professor says in a 2 hour lecture.

The Lord knows we need more doctors and nurses here in the 'States. Right now, the US will be in need of over 100,000 nurses.
