STATEMENT ON THE ARREST OF SUSPECTED KILLER OF GRAB DRIVER MAQUIDATO

I congratulate the Philippine National Police on the arrest of a suspect in the murder of Grab driver Gerardo Maquidato, Jr. https://www.facebook.com/CNNPhilippines/videos/2069126743327214/
Narc Tulod Delemios, as it turns out, is a repeat offender with another arrest warrant for different murder case pending in a court in Paranaque.

My challenge now to the PNP is to do thorough, by-the-book police work to make sure the Maquidato murder charge sticks and leads to conviction during a speedy trial.

Now is yet another time for the PNP to prove to the Filipino people it can really do proper police work and rehabilitate its image sullied by the war against illegal drugs.
