Vice Gov. Julius Caesar Herrera yesterday urged Boholanos to remain calm in the face of unrest in the capital over the allegations linking former Chairman Benjamin Abalos and First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo to the ZTE Broadband scandal.
"These are mere allegations that have not been proven yet. Let us wait for the results before making any conclusions," Herrera said.
The vice-governor added that both Abalos and the President's husband have denied the allegations made by Noel Lozada.
"It is still a long way to go before we will know the truth," Herrera added.
He said Boholanos should be careful about agitations being made by political interest groups who want to take advantage of the situation.
"We need to be very careful because any crisis can be exploited for selfish interest," he added.
The vice-governor said it would be better for people to just go on with their lives while the latest events are unfolding in Manila .
