In the case of Guindulmanons, they were caught in a situation of choosing the lesser evil. Opting either tor a father and son tandem or of a siblings partnership.
As the sultry Mae West quipped, "Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."
Hope the new Mayor in Dr. Anana-Piezas and the reelected Vice Mayor Marivic Anana-Golosino comes out as the "lesser evil"
Good luck Guindulmanons!
I visited Bohol last week. It shocked me that political dynasty is so widespread. For example, in Guindulman, it's a son-father tandem for mayor and vice-mayor (who is the incumbent mayor). In the third district, Cong. Jala pushed his son to run for congressman. The father Jala will end his term this year. He has been a congressman for three terms. But he cannot let go of the temptation and the power. He put up his son, a 27-year-old new bar passer, for the congressional race. Pabagaay nalang gyud ug nawong ang politiko tungod sa kahakog sa gahom. More than half of all towns in Bohol have political bets under one family/clan.
