And i miss you all as well, Bugsay. (btw, when i went scuba diving in balicasag, i finally found out the meaning of the word 'bugsay').
Hoping all is well with you too.
As for Valencia, the place really has changed since i was here last--1998.
It is amazing how when i arrived in valencia, immediately the people around my lolo's house knew who i was or were asking who i was. Valencia Public Market is still that same busy place. The bolinaw there is the best--i must say. no comparison. sorry, jagnanons, guindulmanons, garcianons, tagbilaranaons, andanons etc. Valencia is just---da best.
Jagna's calamay is the best tho, i give them that.
I visited my lola's grave, my great grandparents etc.
I visited the Santo Nino Church of Valencia as well. I must say that the devotion to the Blessed Child Jesus is powerful here in Valencia.
PIT SENYOR , VIVA SENOR SANTO NINO is in the air. And attending mass in Valencia's Church is....spectacular. The faith of the people here is uplifting. Different kaayo dinhi kai ang church--is filled every sunday. And when i drove to go to 6am mass last sunday, people walked en mass to church. Wearing white, etc. The devotion to the sacrament is also beautiful here in Philippines. Catholic kaayo. I love it!
Home sweet home.
