PANGLAO, Bohol – Promoting healthy lifestyle and nature-produced food to stay physically and mentally fit are among the driving forces in the launching of fun run dubbed “Panglao Camp and Run 2011†slated on December 17-18, 2011, said the organizers.
Leading the organizers of event is the known mountain climber Mr. Dax R. Ang, who have scaled on May 13, 2006 Mt. Everest, the highest mountain on planet earth, with Mr. Erijin “Pastour†L. Emata, race director, both of the Everest Outdoors and Mr. Efren De Guzman, manager of Bohol Coco Farm of this town.
They are being assisted by Mr. Jun Lago, manager of Philippine Coconut Authority of the province, said De Guzman.
The five-km fun run trail is being lined up starting at Coco Farm to Dumaluan beach in barangay Libaong down to Amarella and back to Coco Farm, the organizers said.
Along the way there’ll be some sort of “lateral moves,†that would be expected during the run to be more exciting and enjoyable, they said during the press conference last week at a seaport restaurant.
Camping activity for the enthusiasts will also take place on the first day, said the organizers.
Prizes and consolation giveaways are up for grabs following the run. Interested parties may register now with only PhP250 fee to access participation in the event.
