The preferred weaponry of the royalty, landed nobility, and armed squires.
Purely malay weapon.


Pedang Mandau. Preferred weapon of choice by Javanese Malays, and the Sulu Malays of southern Philippines.
Also used by the Mandau Dayaks of Northern Borneo. A famous 'head-hunting' weapon.
