www.theboholstandard.comThe Hazards Mapping and Assessment for Effective Community-based Disaster Risk Management (READY) Project will be presenting the results of the hazard mapping conducted here to all the barangays of the province from February 4 – 13, 2008.
The presentation will be done in a series of information, education and communication (IEC) campaigns, that will also discuss the status of community-based early warning systems (CBEWS) established in the province.
Since Barangay Captains or at least one representative of each of the 1,109 barangays will be requested to attend, LGUs will be clustered into 8 IEC seminar-workshops to be conducted in four strategic venues, namely; Talibon, Duero, Bilar and Tagbilaran City.
The schedule of the cluster presentations will be: on February 4 for Cluster 1 ( Talibon, Getafe, Buenavista & Inabanga); and February 5 for Cluster 2 ( Pres. CP Garcia, Ubay, Bien Unido, Trinidad, San Miguel & Alicia) at Talibon Pension House.
February 6 will be for Cluster 3 ( Mabini, Candijay, Anda, Guindulman, Duero & Jagna) at Sun Paradise Resort, Duero; while February 7 will be for Cluster 4 ( Garcia-Hernandez, Valencia, Dimiao, Lila & Loboc) at Bohol Tropics Resort in Tagbilaran City.
Some 150 school teachers from the Bohol and City Division will attend on February 8 at Bohol Tropics after which a press conference will follow at 6 in the evening for the local media.
